Tuber of Sinningia eumorpha

Here we show three views of the same tuber, top, bottom, and side.

Sinningia eumorpha has a typical "bagel-top" tuber, with the depressed center from which the new stems sprout. The roots usually originate on the bottom half of the tuber. Bases of the old stems persist for at least a year, until the new stems sprout and grow.
