Debra and I had not been in New England since 1981, but in 2018, we attended a horticultural convention in Framingham and used the occasion to make a quick trip into Boston. We parked in Cambridge and walked across the bridge to Boston. Here is the front of 460 Beacon Street, the Nu Delta house. The red door of my youth is no more. There are more trees and larger ones on Beacon Street than there were in 1981. Note the staircase to the building on (our) right. We will see more roof access in a few pages. I'm not sure of the purpose, since it doesn't seem to be for escaping a fire -- there doesn't seem to be any access to the roof except from the fourth floor in back. The photographs on this page and following pages were taken in July 2018. |
