Gesneriad Society Convention 2010: Show Plants

These pictures show two plants from Bill Price's Best in Show Sinningia collection.  The first is Sinningia guttata.  This plant is a wonderful example of the potential of this species.  Since the flowers all turn toward the light, one can get a great display of bloom facing the observer.

This is Sinningia 'Prudence Risley', a fine hybrid by Jim Steuerlein of Florida.  Jim was unable to attend convention this year, but he is a very talented hybrizer and we hope to meet him sooner or later.
