Gesneriad Society Convention 2006: Views from the Hotel

Now here's an amenity you don't get every day.  The hotel had our meeting announcements posted on monitors distributed about the first floor.  No excuse for missing an appointment here.

I tried taking pictures from windows on the upper floors of the hotel.  This one is looking down the main drag.  Some puzzling patterns but not too bad -- yet.

This one is at right angles to the one above.  Still not too bad.

There were fireworks for the 4th of July.  I was trying to capture them and the night sky too.  What I captured were the ghostly doors reflected in the window.

Ah well, live and learn.
