Awards of Appreciation

Arleen Dewell is a member of three chapters (Vancouver, Toronto, and Seattle) and has held numerous offices in the Gesneriad Society, as well as being a master judge and judge's chair for two conventions.  For many years, she toured with a professional dance company.

Alain Chautems was honored for his work on gesneriads of Brazil, especially Sinningia but other genera as well.  He has been a speaker at conventions and written articles for the journal of the Gesneriad Society.

He works at the Geneva Botanic Garden in Switzerland.
